CDA Bulletin
- The Bulletin is a publication with the following editions: Spring, Summer, and Fall. There are submission criteria and deadlines. To learn more about the CDA Bulletin, advertising in the Bulletin, and view past and present editions, please visit the Bulletin Web page.
Submissions for the Bulletin must meet the CDA Bulletin Guidelines, received by the deadlines and are subject to space restrictions. Please email all submissions for consideration to the Bulletin Editor,

Melissa Halas-Liang, MA, RD, CDE, always had a passion for eating healthfully which resulted in her
career choice of Registered Dietitian and nutrition educator. In 2006, she realized her true purpose…to save the
world one healthy food at a time™ with the development of SuperKids Nutrition, a company and mega Website resource
for easy-to-read credible nutrition information and activities for families.
Melissa believes that good nutrition can fuel you, creating sustainable energy so you can live your best life.
Her philosophy on nutrition is that regardless of your food habits, small changes can make a difference and build momentum
for lasting changes with positive, powerful results. Whether it's helping families eat healthier or inspiring parents and
students to be more nutritionally fit, she believes good nutrition plays a vital role in spiritual, physical and mental health.
Melissa is a Certified Diabetes Educator, holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Dietetics and Master's degree
in Nutrition Education and practiced as Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian for 10 years. She has the Certificate of
training for Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management. Melissa has 15 years of diverse experience in clinical care,
nutrition management, counseling, critical care curriculum, nutrition education, media and writing, and currently serves
as Co-President of the Los Angeles District of the CDA.

For the past eight years, Melissa has provided on-line education at universities to health professionals,
fitness professionals, Registered Dietitians and the general public. Under the SuperKids Nutrition Inc. umbrella,
Melissa showcased her creativity with the birth of the Super Crew® characters through her books, Super Baby Abigail's
Lunch Time Adventure and Havoc at the Hillside Market. The books motivate young children to develop healthy eating
habits from an early age so they can achieve their full potential by living a healthy life.
