Nutritional Services Manager
In this role, you will be responsible for the onsite management of food service operations, including the cafeteria, coffee cart, and vending service contracts, and the patients’ clinical nutrition care services and programs.
Duties include supervising staff, including registered dietitians, nutrition aides and clerks, and nutrition assistants, in the daily preparation and service of meals.
You will also assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical nutrition care standards; provide input into the budgeting process; and conduct inspections and audits for food service contracts to ensure that high-quality food and service performance standards are met.
Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in food and/or nutrition science, must be a registered dietitian, and must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) or obtain same prior to start date.
Two years of recent food service or clinical experience in a health care setting is also required, as is a demonstrated knowledge of the American Dietetic Association and American Society for Parental and Enteral Nutrition standards.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are mandatory, as is the ability to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.

Associate Director, Nutrition Services
Reporting to the Director, Nutrition and Food Services, you will direct nutrition services for all units of the division and the diet office within UCSF Medical Center’s Patient Food Services area.
Evaluate service needs and implement, evaluate, and alter programs when needed. You will supervise dietitians (I, II, Senior, Principal), dietitian supervisors (I, II, Senior, Principal), dietetic technicians, nutrition assistants, and principal foodservice workers.
Develop and implement guidelines and standards of practice and evaluation strategies to assure that quality control, assurance and improvement, and customer satisfaction guidelines and standards are met; develop division budget, productivity measurements, and other fiscal controls; manage labor and non-labor costs within budgetary constraints and improve service without using additional resources.
Ensure compliance with accreditation and licensing standards such as The Joint Commission and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Actively promote nutrition on other institution and organization committees (P&T, Quality Improvement, TJC preparation, patient satisfaction, Diabetes Teaching Center Advisory Board, etc).
Direct any ad hoc nutrition committees appointed by the P&T Committee.
Promote the role of nutrition within the organization and the university.
Requirements:
Must be a Registered Dietitian with a Master's degree in nutrition or related field from a regionally accredited university.
Successful completion of an approved didactic and an accredited dietetic internship with a strong clinical component required.
Maintenance of continuing education to meet Commission on Dietetic Registration requirements, and 5+ years of experience that includes 2+ years as a chief clinical dietitian or equivalent in clinical nutrition management essential.
Previous work experience in a large hospital, including substantial experience managing a defined nutrition unit, employee supervision, and problem solving in a large hospital required.
Must be skilled in independent action, judgment, and decision-making where no precedent exists. Experience teaching dietetic interns or other students is a prerequisite.
Preferred:
10+ years experience in large academic medical centers or hospitals handling curriculum design and evaluation. Advanced practice credential (e.g. CDE, CNSD, CSP, etc.) recognized by the American Dietetic Association a definite advantage.

Dietitian I
The Dietitian I is responsible for providing clinical nutrition care and services to patients/clients in response to protocol and physicians’ orders that would include the assessment of patients’ nutritional risks/status.

McKee was an innovative leader when it first introduced LDRPs, birthing suites where a woman can experience labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care all within the same room.
The new McKee Family Birthing Center on the third floor of the new wing opened with 13 LDRPs and four post-partum rooms, with additional space for future expansion to a total of 17 LDRPs.
The unit also features a triage area, lactation room, nursery, two C-section surgical suites, conference room and family galley.
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutrition care to individuals based on comprehensive assessment, data analysis, communication and collaboration with integrated team members.
The Registered Dietitian meets the educational needs of the patient/family in a variety of settings by providing patient/client therapies, counseling and skill training.
This position is accountable for ongoing nutrition outcome evaluation and documentation of all components of nutrition care delivered to customers of Banner Health.
Requirements:

Identify timely and critical issues regarding the health of the community and families within.
Candidate will interact as part of a diverse statewide team, developing community strategies, collaborating with agencies, and building a strong community network including low-income families, school district personnel, staff of community-based organizations, staff of governmental agencies such as the Department of Social Services, the Department of Health Services, and Women, Infants and Children (WIC).
A minimum of a Master’s degree in one of the disciplines relevant to the position is required such as Community Nutrition, Public Health, or Family and Consumer Sciences.
