2017 Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award Winner
Hello Fellow RDNs, Diet Technicians and Dietetic Intern Students,
National Nutrition Month is quickly approaching! The theme for 2018 is Go Further with Food.
NNM is a nutrition education and information campaign created annually in March by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND-The Academy)). The campaign focuses attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Day, also celebrated in March, increases awareness of registered dietitian nutritionists as the indispensable providers of food and nutrition services and recognizes RDNs for their commitment to helping people enjoy healthy lives.
CTC desires to use this year’s opportunity to increase public awareness of RDNs as the indispensable health care providers and as the nutrition experts! CTC is using social media as its platform.
If you or your colleagues are doing something for National Nutrition Month (NNM) please send details to the CTC District Media Representative, Maggie Evans. Please include photos with a brief written description about the NNM event or demonstration.
If you need ideas for your workplace, school or community NNM event, AND-The Academy has compiled a list of event ideas to help with your NNM celebration planning!
