Member Benefits Guide

Member Benefits Guide 2020-2021

Value of Membership

The California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics provides a wide variety of valuable member benefits for students and interns as well as employed and retired members.

Value of Membership

Did you know 20 percent of the dues you pay to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics are paid to the CA Academy to cover operating costs as well as provide member benefits? For an active RD/RDN member, this means $46.80 of the $234 in Academy dues goes to CA Academy. When judging the value of your membership, it’s important to look at the whole picture of the benefits you get from the Academy as well as what you get from the CA Academy.

District Membership

The CA Academy is one of the only affiliates that still offers district membership. Ten districts, from San Diego to the Oregon border, offer local opportunities for education, networking, and volunteer leadership. Districts receive minimal funding from the CA Academy to cover their operating costs; therefore all 10 districts collect annual membership dues from members.

Join your local district today and start accessing additional member benefits at the district level!

Educational Opportunities

CA Academy members can take advantage of educational opportunities throughout the year at in-person and virtual events. Some events are free of charge for members-only while other programs offer discounted registration rates for members. The CA Academy Annual Conference includes special opportunities and programming for students and interns.
